1) Clean the surface regularly: The solid surface countertop does not demand high maintenance. It is also quite resistant to scratches, stains, and heat. However, after prolonged use, it may start showing signs of wearing. However, if you want to maintain the same new look for a long time, you would want to clean it regularly. You don't have to do a lot actually. You just need a soft sponge and ammonia-based cleaner for a quick wipe every day.
2) Rinse regularly with water: Ammonia based cleaner is good but sometimes you may not feel like putting even this much of effort. That is not a problem at all. Sometimes you can clean it only with water.
3) Do not use the scouring pad to clean the surface: Although the solid surface resin worktop is resistant to scratches, scouring pads may still harm it. As already mentioned, use the soft sponge for cleaning.
4) Keep it dry: Make sure that every time you clean the surface, you wipe it dry. If you leave it wet, a film will start building on it. It will steal the looks of the surface after a while.
5) Polish them: Your solid surface worktop may not require regular sealing. However, if you want to restore the gloss, you can polish it once in a while (once in a few months perhaps). They will keep looking like new.
6) Do not use harsh cleaners: Do not clean the solid surface worktops with the acidic cleaners. For example, oven cleaner can damage your solid surface worktop permanently. Use mild cleaners that are ammonia based.
7) Avoid cutting onto the surface: Although they are scratch resistant it does not mean they will not sustain the knife marks. Use a wooden chopping board to cut or chop the items. This will keep your countertop like new.
